Processing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Processing Manager from fintech/banking/eCommerce industry who will be responsible for assisting the Financial Operations Manager with the management of their processing and payment functions. 

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role of which 2 -3 years must be management experience
• Relevant qualifications in finance or operational management
• Analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
• Excellence/Quality Orientation
• Innovative and creative mind-set
• Business Insight

Reporting:
• Report on payment and processing activities, opportunities and concerns to the Financial Operations manager once a week or as regularly as needed
• Update the departmental statistics and the analysis thereto

Innovation and growth:
• Identify and assess opportunities for improvement / innovation
• Responsible for the optimisation of flows and processes

People management:
• Effectively develop and maintain a competent team on an ongoing basis
       o Responsible for managing, monitoring, assessing and reporting on performance on payment                and processing related matters and KPAs of the Processing team
       o Ensures skills assessments and competency-based training takes place as and when required
• Determines staffing requirements, manages hiring, conducts performance reviews and oversees the human resources processes
• Develops and maintains an open communication channel with team members, which supports staff to foster greater co-operation and teamwork

Financial operations function:
• Development on and management of all operational, system and product offering tools
• Responsible for ensuring that the team and the business is in line with bank, card scheme and payment association regulatory requirements from the operational side
• Responsible for the implementation of all Processing and department related policies, objectives, processes and procedures for the business (internal and with 3rd party services providers)
• Analyse and investigate the causes for system and operational issues or failed procedures in relation to payments and processing to ensure they are adequately addressed with both a long-term sustainable solution and interim mitigating controls
• Handle any escalated complaints, queries or issues on payments, chargebacks and processing
